A MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF
First I want to thank Mayor Randy Brundige and Martin City Board for the incredible opportunity to serve Martin as the Chief of Police. I want to further thank the men and women of the Martin Police Department and the citizens of Martin for their continued support.
The Martin Police Department is committed to building relationships with community members while providing the highest level of service to keep our citizens safe. As the Chief of Police, I will continue to provide and share our on-going efforts with the community in order to maintain and build public trust.
The men and women of the Martin Police Department strive every day to ensure our mission statement is carried out to provide protection and good quality of life to all segments of our community in a fair and professional manner. We are a pro-active community policing agency with strong community involvement that includes outreach programs geared at involving our citizenry into our policing efforts through programs like our Citizen’s Police Academy, CPA Alumni Association, School Resource Officer program, and National Night Out just to name a few.
Our Department has historically been oriented toward training for our personnel far beyond the minimum requirements. Subsequently, we have officers who have specializations in many areas of law enforcement to include criminal investigations, traffic accident reconstruction and traffic enforcement strategies, special weapons and tactics, community policing approaches, and various instructor programs.
As an agency, we seek highly motivated, educated, diverse persons to strengthen our department in attempts to provide the best services possible to our community. If you or someone you know is interested in a career in law enforcement, don’t hesitate to contact me or the staff at Martin Police Department about opportunities to serve. Please let us know if we are serving your needs or if we can improve services to your neighborhood.
Don W. Teal
Chief of Police
