It’s that time of year again!!! If you are interested in signing up for the 31st Session of the Martin Police Department Citizen’s Police Academy, we are now accepting applications. You can go to our website, click the special programs tab at the top of the page and then select “Citizen’s Police Academy” and there is a link to the application at the bottom of that page. If you don’t want to do it that way, email Asst. Chief Phillip Fuqua at pfuqua@martindps.org to get an application, or stop by the police department M-F 8am-4pm to pick up a hard copy. This year’s academy class will begin on March 5th. There will be 10 classes in total on Thursday nights from 6pm-9pm. Finger foods, courses taught by officers, group projects, individual participation in demonstrations, etc. Come out and join us!!! Preference is given for Martin residents or those who work/own businesses in Martin. Grab a friend and sign up today!!! Only 30 spots!!
